Width Saved by Removing Side Cheeks

Can someone confirm how much space is saved if you take off the side panels/cheeks?

Trying to work out how much space I'll need

It definitely saves some real estate. in Both directions I might add. I just ordered my flatboard and I was able to go even smaller than originally anticipated.

Based on the pictures posted by @rnjscooter, it doesn't look like nearly that much. @rnjscooter, would you be able to post the horizontal measurements with the side caps removed?

pretty sure no. the cap itself is that wide. the cap fits over the edge of the controller.

the cap's purpose is to lift the unit off the floor a bit. people want to take it off so the bottom of the FC is flush with the pedal board, not lifted.

taking off the side cap is like a 1/8 of an inch if i'm guessing.

So if the product page is correct on the FC-6 width (11.2"), that is a savings of .45" total (both sides)... but if the schematic drawing is correct, the FC-6 width is 11.06" for a savings of .31" total.

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but thought it was worth mentioning that removing the sides gave me juuuust the right amount of clearance I needed for my EV2 + FC12 NYC six shot pedalboard
