What about bolt on or neck thru preferred?

Not really. You can get the same guitar with H&H bolt on or S&S&H neck thru. That’s it.

Yep, that's more-or-less what I was trying to indicate. I think the difference is that the Virtuoso is a bolt-on (and thus more comparable to the usual Dinkys) whereas the Soloist is a neck-thru. (At least, mine is.)

Considering a Jackson guitar. Any suggestions? Thoughts on the PC-1, Soloist?

I tried a PC-1 years ago and the neck was a baseball bat for sure! but with the stock electronics the guitar was too dark sounding for me.

I play the American Series more than my USAs fwiw.

I also have a few Pro models and a Pro Plus SL3. They're all absolutely phenomenal instruments.

But the American series is just something special imo.

I've owned a lot of Jacksons over the years. The USA Adrian Smith is one of my favorites among the modern Jacksons.

I'd been looking at PC1's for a long time - SL1's too, but ultimately I bought a Suhr last night, but if you're truly dead-set on getting a Jackson, I'd say SL1 or SL2H. I don't know you and I don't know what kind of tones you're after and that is ultimately what would decide whether an SL1 or SL2H would be a better fit for you.
