Where are the Artist Presets?

[OOPS -- DIdn't notice this is an AM4 thread...]

I wish there was more of a community effort and that every big name would have its own thread for getting their sounds... People with different guitars (etc.) would participate and eventually everyone would have a preset that comes close. Ideally, people would also update their presets to new firmware (but leave the previous ones available).

Today, a friend could ask me 10 sounds from big names and with some bad luck I'd have to say, "Sorry, none of these are ready-to-go in the Axe..." Some are probably "hidden" in the presets and you should read the wiki presets page.

OTOH, I can't totally speak to this as I still have to go through all presets and austinbuddy purchases with a fine-toothed comb.

There are the GoT presets but they may sound wrong pretty soon after a few firmware updates...

I think you just need to start a thread if you want a sound and ask for help crafting it.

I guess you could make a really bad first attempt and use that as the primer but also just asking seems to work fine here too.

Yes & no. I get your point & the OP's. I'm probably in the minority & new to modeling but not tone & that's why I'm rocking an AM4 !
Other side of the coin I really don't enjoy making presets. I don't want to specifically sound like EVH or whoever but getting a preset made by someone who knows what there doing really helps in making your own, as in what blocks to use & what order there in. There are so many ways in the AM4 to get a sound that a guy like me will save countless hours by buying or using a preset done by someone who knows what there doing.
