whenever i add an amp block. it makes front end effects mono...help!

I have some stereo effects i run on the front end from a Line 6 M9, and go into the rear input 1....if i have presets with no amp...the effects sound stereo and everything is great....

as soon as I add an amp, the effects run down the middle!!
also...if i put an fx loop in front of an amp, it makes everything from the M9 mono....if i have the fx loop after the amp, the M9 works in stereo...
I need it to work in stereo on the front end BEFORE the amp. any help please!!

YES i have my inputs and outputs all as stereo.
 
Amp blocks are mono. To do what you want you'll need two amp blocks in parallel with input select of one set to left, the other set to right, and amp balance controls also set left/right.
 
I recommend moving stereo effects like delay (if used as stereo, like ping pong) after the amp. There is no difference as far as I can tell and you dont lose stereo.

The more gain you are using the more loss of definition you get from putting the delay before the amp. There is definitely a difference.
