WHATS YOUR LOOPER SETUP?

Hi,
I’m back from about a year of Axelessness. I had an Axe FX 2 during the version 10-12 days but wasn’t grooving on it as much so I sold it and went tube again. Just bought another II and am blown away by the sound both FRFR and with a cab. I sold off some gear and one of the pieces was a Boomerang looping pedal. I loop quite often and am looking for a more extensive option than the Axe’s looper. Ive been thinking of a couple of options.

Echoplex
Ableton
the original Jamman

I’m curious as to what other members are using for looping with there setups. I like the versatility of the Ableton but am wondering how to control it. Is the Axe able to send midi commands over the USB connection from the MFC101?

Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Max

Ableton and Gordius Little Giant footswitch.

You can create a rabbit hole to rival the axe-fx!

Here's mine...

I do this full time here in Hawaii.

Here is the list:

AXE-FX (of course)
Boss RC-300
TC-Electronics Voice Live Touch 2
Alesis SR-18 Drum machine (in sync with RC-300)
Behringer mixer (mixes vox, rc-300, and drum machine - all others mix inside Rc-300)
Roland GR-55 Guitar synth (bottom two strings do the bass part an octave down during the first pass)

Works great... here is a link to a live recording sample:

This clip doesn't show off the AXE-FX because it was an acoustic gig, but most gigs are done with an electric and I use the AXE-FX for all solo tones.

Enjoy!

I have the Jamman Stereo and it's pretty cool. I just got it in a trade though so the whole looper thing is new to me
