Whatcha guys using in a live context to place your rack with AXE-FX on?

Well... I actually mentioned the RS-540, but it works the same.

The Quick-Lok RS-540 is a great solution. My band has 2 although we often stack 3 Axe Fx racks on top of our IEM rack these days...

Lol, oh sorry I didn't look at all the posts. I just recalled someone mentioning it a year ago so I kept it in my favourites for future reference in case I ever needed a stand.

Generally, the same for me, but I have the 6 space version. However, lately, I've been keeping my rack entirely offstage, as I have no need of it during the show. It just sits side stage or behind the back curtain. The only things I need onstage are my pedalboard and a powered wedge for backfill (I use IEMs, but the wedge gives me a source for mechanical feedback).

I have a 4U rack with my Axe FX III and a Fryette LXII. I just set the rack case on top of my speaker cabinet.

How is the heat dissipation? From the photos of the lxii it looks like the heat vent won’t be covered by the Axe 3. Is that the case?

I guess I’m lucky. I use the digital snake and wired IEM rack to set my Axe on top of at church. I also lead the praise team, so I do get to place it pretty conveniently as well!

My Axe 3 rig/rack goes on top of my IEM rig/rack and that goes on top of the PA rack. Anything that needs to be plugged in (mic cables etc..) is below the Axe 3 or it plugs in the back. You know, less chance of damage to the Axe 3

That would be very easy to make. I might make a pair to see how I like it that low to the ground.

In what sense? They are fairly "collapsible" flat stands that can be adjusted.

A keyboard stand is 1/2 the price and does all the things you mentioned.

It's ugly as fuck and you can buy 2 sawhorses for way less. But that's subjective.

It’s my version built from a Nash tele…added brass bridge. I was in a great Police/Sting tribute back then.

Height, adjustment? Um all of them?

And lots of utility gear is appealing to me. Racks make me weak in the knees. Rolling toolboxes make me giddy.

That spindly abortion that we are fighting about makes me mad.

To anyone watching: me and Unix-Guy would be fast friends in real life. we would argue about arch vs. gentoo and PRS vs Suhr and The Cure vs. Porno for Pyros and I would win all those arguments but he would still be cool.
