What would the new-gen even have that the current gen doesn’t?

I feel like this could be possible now but it would be easier when dialing in a tone if the amps master volume was auto gained so you could move it around and hear the difference it makes in the tone without having to mess with the level knob going back and forth. It's a simple wish but a useful one.
The reasons this isn't going to happen have been discussed for years...

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but a few days back Paul David’s did a video on a puck guard that was able to mimic the tones of different pick up types. I could see something like that happening in a fractal product at some point.

I think the most obvious move to me would be for the next gen device to be not only what the AxeFx does but also something like an Apollo 8 audio/digital interface of the same quality - that way you have your sounds sorted out AND your audio in/outs for your DAW all in one box - seems a relatively logical evolution to me.

Network audio (AVB, Dante, Ravenna, etc.) could be cool. Also, real-time re-clocking so the Fractal doesn't have to be the clock master.

I'd find use in an independent headphone out source....but that's because I'm in what's probably a very small minority that runs my IEMs off my Fractal (so I can use a cable and not spend money on wireless just for IEMs).

Make the edit screen full screen and make it so the preset choices can be moved off the edit screen.
when on stage the screen for the edit is so small. Other than that, I think it's perfect.

An option to choose per preset for “poweramp and cabinet modeling set active or inactive”

Just in case you switch systems. when You use an outboard preamp and cab with fractal for effects” or just use some fractal with FrFr speakers..

That's already possible.

You can turn off power amp modeling in the Amp block in any preset.

You can bypass/delete the Cab block if you don't need it.

I’ve been too busy playing all those years and can’t read every word on the forum. A google search brought me no results before I posted.
In a nutshell, any compensated volume automation is much more involved than most people think.

In particular with MV where various settings influence the volume and the way MV may or may not actually affect volume after a certain point.

My mistake then..

I only found this option in Global Settings, so I thought I needed to change it everytime play through my Yamaha HS7 monitor’s instead of my rig with the TriAxis and 2:90.

Thanks for clarifying this!

More resources dedicated to the FC controllers would be a welcomed addition. Right now we are limited to 9 shared layouts between multiple controllers and the Songs and Setlists feature has very limited resources available. Having more resources dedicated to the FC's would likely allow for a lot more features and flexibility in both of those areas.

I haven’t read all the posts, but these would be wonderful for me anyway
Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to be able to connect to an editor on an iPad or a computer without using a cable for edit
A randomizer buttonfor the effects, kind of like the even tide has to where you click the button and it just randomly selects the parameters. Therefore, you can come up with a new unique sounds that would definitely be a cool feature
Expandable memory

I need more scenes within the same patch. I’d like 12 or 16 instead of 8. I know that may sound ridiculous to some of you, but I could use that many configurations in one 3 hour show.

FYI you can do this now with any MIDI controller that allows you to attach multiple MIDI commands to a single foot switch press. MIDI controllers made by RJM are particularly good at this.

Program a footswitch for two MIDI commands, the first command sends a patch change to the desired patch, and the second command would send the CC change corresponding to the Scene you want. Now you can use one button on your MIDI controller to recall any Scene anywhere in your Axe-Fx at any time. Set up 16 switches and you have your 16 Scenes instantly available at any time with one press.

  • Block library available on the device
  • on the screen when i am selecting the block i would like to see which model is it, not only "Drive 1" e.g. "Drive 1 - TS808"
  • Lock the Value pot.
  • Zoom view not as default (maybe is there already an option?)
