...so we can layout our physical pedal boards any way we want. So the "brain" and the switches can be positioned anywhere you want on your board. Need another IA? Buy another switch.

Obviously there a couple details to work out :lol:
 
We obviously don't need that because that's not what Fractal put out. To do something like this it would be an inferior product and not high-end. All those little boxes out in front of you would like all the crappy low-end pedals we see. :lol:

When Fractal releases this I am going to market "pedal skins". You could buy an orange pedal skin for you distortion, a green or yellow one for your overdrive, purple for flanger, etc.
 
Better trademark that now. Your pedals could look like Line 6 stuff. I think they should change colors as well when you select a different patch. :D
 
iirc, that's actually one of the earliest ideas that Fractal had
since it didn't happen (other than the expander module(s?)), I assume there's good reasons for the way they went :)
