What ever happened to the vintage reverb?

I was just going over my manual for the Ultra it lists a vintage spring reverb setting which I don't ever remember seeing. What is the deal with that? From what the manual says about it:
"The Vintage Type is a true spring reverb emulation. It has the “boing” and “chirp” of a spring reverb
but doesn’t crash when someone trips over it."

I feel like I'm missing out on something now... What I really love about real spring reverbs is the boings and chirps.

The Spring type has been removed and replaced with a “Cathedral” type. The Vintage type has been renamed to Spring.

(These are found under the Type selection on the first page of the Reverb block in SM, MD, and LG sizes. Additional spring tweaks are at the bottom of the ADVanced page. Also, they're fun. )
