What are your go to/best cabinet IR combinations for high gain metal stuff?

I usually choose an sm57 and 121 combo matchIng the amp I’m using if possible. Generally have better luck with a standard Mesa V30 cab (57/121) for an all around good tone. ML and Ownhammer are my go to choices... usually finding a better sound using ML irs

My favorite cabinet combo for metal is factory 2 cab #859 - 4x12 Recto ST COLES Brt YA and factory 2 cab #967 - 4x12 TV 4047 A. I pan each cab hard left & hard right, set proximity to 0.5 on both (in the Cab More tab) and set “Air” in the Room/Air tab somewhere between 1% and 6% I use this setup on almost every high gain patch I’ve created. Give this a try and see if it works for you.
