Went 15.x to 18.8, audio volume comming from pc suddenly very low

Anyone else had this issue ? is the some input volume set way lower by default or something. I didn't change anything on the pc, even volumes were set to about 50%, I thought nothing was coming through. But apparently, after setting the pc volume to max and setting to the front output leevl to 80% on my axe (carefully not touching my guitar) it comes through whisper volume, so there clearly is input, just ridiculously silent.

USB driver was already the lastest 1.67 windows.

Any advice ?
