Weirdness in 8.0

After updating to 8.0, most of the bottom end and over-all gain has been sucked out of most of my presets. I tried adjusting the presence/dynamics/bass controls to no avail. So then I tried resetting the amp model. All that did was introduce this high-pitched, constant ringing in the background, rendering the preset useless. Anyone else getting this?

A lot of my crunchy / heavier sounds in FW7 do indeed sound a little washed out now. But I wont line myself up to the disclaimer firing squad and all my FW7 presets are saved and safe so it's not a problem. Haven't had constant ringing. Just a major boost in the mids and highs with a big drop off the bass on my pre FW8 presets. Will fire up axe edit, boost the bass / reduce the mids and highs and see how it sounds as I had to with a few of the earlier FW upgrades which changed my presets a lot but at the same time gave so much more scope for improving my tones.
