Wonder if this could be used with a USB-MIDI interface with the Axe? Not something I'm interested in per se, as I have a LFJR until the MFC101 comes out... But thought someone here might be!
 
Interesting, very interesting. The user manual refers to controlling other MIDI devices. Sounds like it has software for using the controller in "standalone" mode for controlling other software but also refers to other MIDI devices.

Sounded interesting, but after perusing the manual, my bet is definitely that it is relegated to requiring a PC (as in Win/Mac) connection for "MIDI" control.

Good thought, but it's essentially a MIDI interface and controller in one, minus all the MIDI jacks.
Unfortunate, as that would otherwise be a steal for a nice-looking basic controller. :|
