Want to update my firmware but not sure what I need.....

So I have a Focusrite Saffire Pro 24(firewire recording interface)with midi in and midi out does that mean all I need is to connect my Axe to the Saffire with a standard midi cable? I'm just looking to update firmware and maybe add some Redwirez eventually. One more thing if I'm right I would connect the out on the Axe to the In on the Saffire correct? Thanks guys
 
You are correct.the only wild card may be if your recording interface will work with the axe-fx...you may have to setup MIDI settings...load up the axe-fx editor.go too update firmware.its easy...
