VM&P Naphtha on natural matte finished guitars?

Is there any harm in using this as a cleaner on these types of instruments?

There will be no difference on matte/gloss guitars with regards to the type of cleaning product used. What WILL make a difference is any kind of abrasive act like rubbing it with a cloth or calling it names. This will eventually buff the matte finish to a semi gloss.
