V9.02 All Amps + Cabs

MisterE

Fractal Fanatic
Hi,

I had a bit of fun making presets with all the amps in the Axe-Fx II and one of the suggested cabs (see Wiki)
included is an excel file with the details about the presets: Name - Amp model - suggested cabs - used cab - Master - Level
I tried to tweak as few advanced parameters as possible.
More about this in my topic under "reviews" http://forum.fractalaudio.com/axe-f...un-lock-yourself-up-week-monster-try-all.html
You can get the presets here:

Ran through some. Great job. My ears are shot from yesterday's gig alas.
A few standouts: Dr Z, Lonestar, XTC Red.
Gonna be helpful to a lot of people. Adding this to the wiki.

I'm absolutely positive this is "new user error" but I couldn't get any to load via Midi-OX so figured what the hell and tried with Axe Edit (Bad Gregman, BAD ! :) ) . And it worked.

And they sound GREAT ! Thank you again, MisterE !

New user here too.....no go with midi ox, worked with Axe Edit......
Thank you MisterE......its what I was looking for. That is going to make a lot of things easier!

OP---Just curious if you used a certain guitar when working on all of these. It sometimes helps to know.

Loved some of the sounds in here! Just wondering, is there any specific reason that you didn't use any mics on the cabs?

I just wanted to create the presets with cabs that are suggested to go with the amp or I felt sounded good with the amp, set all levels equal to the blocks bypassed, so that you'd have a good starting point to test the amps + cabs.
I can imagine you'd want to try another cab and/or mike but this way you already have a good starting point.
If you want to try different microphones, you might want to try stereo cabs with different mikes as well.
And try the delay on one of the sides. I find it givers a rather spacious sound, instead of the dry cab in the middle of the stereo field.
