Using the Axe-Fx III for vocal harmonies

My FX-III sits in a rack with the stage box and all the wireless gear. Since the FX-III has 4 sets of I/O and processing power to spare, here is what I did....

I sent one of the aux outputs from the stage box to input 3 of the FX-III, and then connected the #3 outputs to open channels on the stage box. Each song has a preset that routes input 3 through a pitch block set to the key of the song to generate harmonies (up a 3rd, down a 4th, etc). I also have a volume pedal before output 3.

On my mixer I send a copy of the lead vocal signal to the FX-III via the aux. I also have the return channels set low in the mix. Then when I want harmonies on a chorus, I just step on the volume pedal. Works great!

Anyone else using the FX-III for more than just guitars/bass?
