Using Roland FC-300 Cat5

I just purchased an Roland FC-300 board and discovered that this board has a Cat5 port.
It should be ok to connect it to the Axe Fx through this? It doesnt have to be the MFC-101? Other boards can also be connected through that port as long as its Cat5 compatible?
Right? Or?

the cat5 from the Axe is powered

the FC-300 is externally powered even with the cat5 connected

I have no idea what the pinouts for the FC-300 and MFC-101 cat5 sockets are

and if you don't know either,
I'd strongly suggest not using the cat5

there is a chance that something could be damaged as a result in either the Axe or the FC..

Yeah, my thought too.
But isn't Cat5 an industrial standard? A Cat5 port is a Cat5 port either way?
If I connect it through the Cat5 without any external power on the FC-300 and it still lights up, then it would be ok?

The RJ45 ports on the Axe-Fx II and MFC-101 are for interconnecting an Axe-Fx II and an MFC-101 only!
DO NOT connect either of those ports to any other device or you could instantly render one or both units inoperable, and void your warranty.
