Using per preset override

Hi I am having difficulty to understand per preset overrides

I want to do the following

on my FC layout I want to have by default the following layout

Drive Delay Compressor

But I want on some presets to replace the three pedals with something else, for example on one preset I want a tremolo instead of the compressor on another one a instead of the drive etc

Can I do that?

Yes, Layout 6 is the per-preset slots. You then set those up in the Per-Preset section for each preset.

I use a similar setup where I use bypass for three effects for some, and toggle between 2-3 scenes for others.

And a few where I switch between a presets (Like I'll use Preset A for the verse / Preset B for the chorus / solo) So on Preset A I have a switch to Preset B and on Preset B a switch back to Preset A and the other buttons used for effects bypass, etc.

what i don't understand is if i can get a "default" value:
for example:
if the preset doesn't define a per preset slot 1 put a drive
but then the preset can override it...

or if i have to define overrides for every preset or change layout

Yes, you can define a “default.” First, set up the footswitch the same as any other, on one of the layouts. This is your “default” value. Then, for every preset where you don’t want the “default” function, use a Per-Preset Override.
