Using Fryette PS100 and direct at same time

I've read through a lot of posts about using the Axe FX with a power amp/cab, as well as direct for foh or studio monitors. It's very confusing, all the settings people mention. Power amp modeling, speaker impedance, high and low resonance, etc. I'm looking for good experiences where you've been able to get a great sound into a speaker cab through a power station, as well as great sound to foh or studio monitors. What settings did you use in the Axe, as well as the power station?

In my experience, the PS works best with the Axe-Fx by adjusting the virtual impedance settings in the Amp block, to prevent doubling. Downside of this approach is that you can't use the same amp block for the direct signal.

Others advise to treat the PS as a solid-state amp, and adjust the Global EQ in case of feedback / bass overload etc.
