Using External footswitch to turn delay on off in preset mode?

Hi there- got an Am4 on order and in planning mode. I have read the manual but until I get my hands on AM4 can't work this one out .

I have an Ampero dual footswitch and am hoping I can set is up in the AM4 to for one switch to be taptemp and other to switch delay on /off?

If yes how do I do this please ? ( think I understand how to do Global tap tempo from manua)

- I am planning to stay in preset mode and use four AM4 footswitches as

1- Clean with chorus
2. Vox style sound
3 Overdriven plexi
4 Lead

It would be great to be able to have delay as an on off option on Ampero footswitch to apply to all these presets - if not possible for Lead preset would work for me

Guidance gratefully received

thanks

That's exactly what I do. And it works very good.

It's very easy to setup but I'm too far away from my AM4. When I'm at home I'll tell you if nobody has done it before.

I do it in Scene mode, but it's the same. And you can have all those amps/sounds in the same preset and use scenes. Your choice.

Like Rayos says you can have those 4 presets as scenes in a single preset...then any switches you assign to the Delay block will apply across all 4 scenes also there will be close to zero latency when switching scenes.
Many more reasons to use scenes as well.

Read the manual ...watch video's....

Thanks Rayos- it would be great if you could spell out for me how to do it- I have read read the manual .

I'll try to do from my memories. Click on the delay, so you see its parameters. In the lower right corner is the on/off button. It has a little circle; right click on it. It opens a menu. In the left side there is a desplegable thing. Choose pedal 2 (or 1). Done.

You can adjust some more parameters, but for the on/off thing that's enough.

Maybe you'll have to adjust something in the External Footswitch page. It's very easy but I think it can only be done in the AM4.

Thanks Rayos- much appreciated!

One of the items on our list of considerations involves looking at the way the pedal jacks interact with global remote options. For example, today you can assign a MIDI CC# to show the tuner, but not a PEDAL jack. Once we address an issue which was set aside shortly before launch, there's a possibility that you'll see a more direct way to do this.
