Using an iPad for live performance

I'm thinking of building a little live setup around my iPad to use as a backup to my Axe-Fx rig, local gigs, etc. I'm stuck on which audio interface to get. I'd like to stay in the $150 to $200 price range as I won't be using it all that often, so the Apogee Duet and the like are out of the question. I love the idea of the Focusrite iTrack Dock (no dongles and dangles) but I'm reading online that it's a bit buggy, so I hesitate. App latency is a concern as well. I'm leaning toward Positive Grid's Bias, but I'm sure I'll try a few others.

Do you have any wisdom on the subject you don't mind sharing? Thanks in advance!

Bias with an iRig is decent as a contingency option.

Latency occurs 'sometimes', but I have an old iPad 2.
