Using an FC Controller Temporarily

I've been using an RJM MM GT16 ever since the Axe-FX III was introduced. I have a fly date coming up that would be best to have a smaller controller. I think an FC-6 will do the job nicely. My question is...will setting it up change my settings for my RJM? Or is it completely separate since the RJM is midi?

You will likely need to assign any FC1 Pedal jacks that you will be using to the appropriate External Controller numbers.

If you have any RJM switches doing dual functions, you may have to use 'Control Switches' to approximate that?

Probably other things to consider, depending on exactly how you use the midi functions.

Great point about expression pedals. I hadn't considered that.

You can do this globally though. Once setup, the expression pedals will work for either system (FC/Midi) without editing.

Mapping the Pedal Jacks to the External Controllers is my preferred method. Another benefit is being able to set the 'Initial Value' of each external controller/expression pedal. That comes in handy for when you don't have any pedals connected.
