Fractal Fanatic
Hey everyone,
As I am anxiously waiting for delivery of my III, I am watching lots and lots of videos from several of the gurus out there, and one fundamental question hit me suddenly: where to store user presets? On my trusty old II XL, I was storing my own presets in slots 1 to whatever, essentially overwriting the factory presets. That's because after 10 years with the II, the factory presets have already been well integrated into my knowledge and experience. But with a shiny new III coming, I might want to use the factory presets as reference for quite some time while I learn all about it.
Is there a recommended process or method commonly used out there to store personal presets while retaining access to all factory presets? Or am I imagining a problem that isn't one?
As an add-on to my question, if I start overwriting factory presets at slot #1 and up, what if new factory presets are released by Fractal, how do I get those onto my unit without destructively crushing my own?
Apologies for the newbie question from a II old-timer
