Updating FW and powering

I bought the MFC from a forum member a while ago and it came with a power supply that can't be used where I live. Can I use the CAT5 to power up while updating the FW? Or if I have to use an external power supply does some one know the exact specs how much power the MFC takes? According to the wiki 9VDC should be fine but what about mA and polarity?

It's explained step by step in the read me and other Pdf inside the .Rar folder of aMFC 101 fw.
The short answer is yes ( Cat5 )
