update MFC firmware connected to AX 2 XL?

So I just got a mfc101 mk3 delivered. my first step with new gear would be usually to check and update firmware

but being in Australia it came with the US power supply so cant use it

Are there any potential probems updating the MFC FW while its connected and runnning off power from the axe fx 2 ?
