Agreed, Tom doesn’t give a $hit about clicks, he has zero interest in building a YouTube business. He enjoys sharing and letting the channel be whatever it is. I have followed him for many many years, long before his channel became popular. He had around 1,900 subs when I joined and it stayed there until the corona lessons started. Not Tom, IMO. AFAIK, it was more of a casual mini rant where he just happened to mention a Fractal as the example.
It's others that jump on it for clicks...
He didn't share it.
There is no dedicated video of it, AFAIK -- just a small rant inside another video.

John Mayer said (like 3 years ago) that modelers (he was using an Axe FX III at the time) are like 90% of the way there.
So who’s right?
This is the one.
Thats kind of my point. What does 90%, or 50% mean when we're talking about sound? Is 0% no sound at all? Or a sound that contains exactly none of the frequencies of the target sound? Percentages is such a nonsensical way of describing sound, even if they are being sincere, it's hard to take what these people say seriously.
[Edit: respect to Tom. He seems like a great guy and he's a hell of a player. I mean it's hard to take people seriously in the context of talking about modellers.]
I wasn’t disagreeing with you.Thats kind of my point.
