when i get the ii i will post my subjective opinion having owned both... i'm not going to say it sounds better just because i went through a bunch of hassles to get a ii. i'm assuming it will sound better though

Thank you. I think this is the spirit the OP was asking in, and I hardly think the subject has been beat to death. I mean, the question has taken a beating, but the answers have only just begun to surface. Now that IIs are getting out there I'm really looking forward to more answers and especially A/B comparisons from more guys who have both units right in front of them.
