Trying to update to 9.0

And...I'm a computer idiot. Using Midi-ox and a M-Audio Midisport Uno. I've got it loaded to Midi-Ox, but whenever I try to send to the Axe, I get a "no output device has been selected" message. I'm sure I'm missing one simple thing. Any help/advice?
 
I don't use MidiOx often (I use SendSX), but from memory: in MidiOx, click on Options, then Midi Devices. Now in the Midi output selections, you have to select your Uno. You should also ensure you follow the instructions provided in the downloaded firmware zip file (set your Low Level I/O Buffers: size - 256, number - 16 ... and ... Milliseconds between buffers: 90)

You should be good to go.

Well I switched to Bome's SendSX after I could not get Midi-Ox to even download to the Axe. Next problen...I keep getting "Bad Checksum". I've tried powering the Axe down, restarting, then reloading the firmware...same result. I know I'm missing something.
