True Bypass and Volume

Sudden Volume Increase

At rehearsal today, I had a sudden MAJOR increase in volume. I'd been playing for over an hour without any issues. I couldn't figure out what the cause was. I hadn't changed any settings. So I simply turned the FX8 off and then on again. Problem resolved. Anyone else experience this before?

With the true bypass off, if it gets louder, that means the levels in your effects blocks are too loud.

When I build a preset, I regularly activate true bypass to make sure my preset isn't that different from the unit bypassed, in terms of volume.
