I replaced the very old cushion pads on my Beyerdynamic DT990 Pros. I replaced them with the OEM pads and followed their official process which was simple.
But my tone in my headphones has all changed now. I'm trying to work out if the new pads will need some time to 'bed in' and seal properly or if this is just how my tone originally was.
It's gone very sort of squishy and thin in the mid range and the bass has gone huge. And things sound distant, like there is an excess of reverb.
Everything sounds as it used to in my FRFR but I'm playing quiet on that as I'm at home.
Any ideas how to troubleshoot it exactly?? Would be much appreciated. I feel a little like I've lost my reference of what it actually sounds like!
