Top gun anthem

I had never really listened to any of Steve Stevens until i heard he was using an axe-fx at which point I found out he played on several records I already heard.
Anyway, I fancied giving his top gun anthem a go, After some brief googling i cant find anything about the gear used for it.
Does anyone have any ideas? or have their own patch they would be willing to share?
 
Steve stevens is on HRI and he talked about it there but I can`t remember the specifics.
He said he recorded it on a day off from the Whiplash smile sessions in the same studio, in about an hour with that albums setup.
He also said he`d post some Axe FX presets, I am not sure wether he has yet..

Stevens credits much of those albums tone to good studios and great engineering.
Those were the days of spending days and days getting guitarsounds!
The budgets for those kind of recording sessions are largely gone today unfortunately.
