Tone Matching Guitars pickups and wood?

Can you take your guitar and record DI only (with something resonating the guitar)
then tone match to be set as a PEQ.
I know some of the feel won't be there but I might be close and people can exchange tone matched guitar patches.
 
Haha thanks I don't own an axefx yet so I can't try it :( so I was hoping others could test it out.

Oh and by resonating the guitar, I was referring to the whole conversation of how Direct recordings are sterile because of no speaker is resonating the guitar and strings. Just thought I'd clear that up.
