Evening all!
I've recently got my first 7 string, it's only a Harley Benton but but it actually sounds really good! I'm trying to create a sound a bit like Stephen Carpenters on Ohms, mostly like Urantia. I'm looking for that high gain but high clarity tone with a 'softness' at the same time. I know Stephen uses multiple amps simultaneously on Axe FX but I'm hoping something almost similar is possible on the FM3 if possible.
I'm struggling to get anything like it as I can only get either too much gain with lots of noise or not enough gain, and everything comes out sounding too dark for what I'm after. I've tried multiple gain amps, clean amps with a drive, gain amps with a boost, all with different cabs etc, etc, but can't seem to get even close to something I like.
If anyone can help with some tips I'd be extremely grateful!
