tome match from fx send

Anyone try to tone match from fx loop send? I'm in the process of trying it and wanted to know if I'm better off just mic'ing the cabnet.
I was hopping to eliminate the speakers and since i run my axe throught a mesa tube power amp and a marshall 4x12 i figure its my best option.

B is not talked about, but you have the right idea, either the fx send from
the amp, or another line level out like a slave out.
