Tips on getting rid of pick attack?

Hello all,

There are a couple parts of a song I'm playing now where the guitar sounds more syth or keyboard like. It uses a ton of tremolo picking on the individual notes. It was originally recorded with a Guitar Rig preset and I'm trying to get close to it live. I am pretty close but you can hear the pick attack more than I like. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Forgot to mention, the soundcloud is the version in Guitar Rig. I don't have a recording from my Axe-FX II. I'm just looking for tips in general to try.

LOL!!! I was thinking the same thing but refrained.

Find the frequency range that the pick attack is in and cut it a bit with the PEQ. You could also use picks that have softer edges, like Jazz IIIs.

I usually find I can't get enough pick attack for vintage rock style stuff, even with the Pick Attack parameter.

I used the pick attack parameter once, but my nose has yet to recover.
