If you are not using the Y state of a block, go in and make sure it is set to the lowest CPU hog block type. The Ax8 runs at worst case CPU because it already has both X and Y states loaded.

I saved about 5% CPU by changing unused Y states to small CPU types for just comp and drive!

I'm not sure what lowered your CPU utilization, but only the X or Y state of any block is loaded into memory at one time.
