Yes, it will run the latest Quantum 8.02 firmware.

Today all axe fx ii can still be upgraded to latest firmware. But be aware that mk1 & 2 are the older units and in due time its possible that newer firmware is not fitting and therefore not upgradable anymore.

When is not known. Can be next year but also next week.

But with quantum 8.02 you will still have fun for a long time. But there is a chance you will miss out on new features or options or amps in the future.

Opposite for me haha. With a fractal I haven't bought a pedal or amp in more than a year (had major gas issues previously).

And now that I can rock out through headphones no more complaints about being too loud while kids are asleep.
