Hey!

We walk a fine line between running a spam-overrun forum and one where the good folks can post but the bad folks cannot. To keep it clean around here we use a number of robots. The robots don't always get it right.

If you find yourself blocked from posting with a message about your post appearing to be spam it's generally the case that you're trying to include a link in your post and your post count is below the threshold for being allowed to include a link in a post. The easy solution here is to post more posts without links in them.

If you are certain there are no links in your posts and you're still being caught in the spam filters you can direct message ("DM" aka "Start a Conversation") @iaresee and he can help you through the problem. Give him a few days to turn help requests around.

Hi, I would just like to write a comment or a note of thanks on the forum. I do not want to link or quote anything. How can I do that please? I am presently getting the spam message. Thanks, Jack
Ah. I see what's happening to you. You're quoting another user's post which include a URL in it. Just don't quote their post and you should be fine.

Thanks iaresee. I am not really a new member, but I rarely use the forum, so I forgot "where" to write in my post thus all the unintended content. Also, I supplied a new email address, so I suppose that is why I am showing up as a new member.

You'll show up as "new member" until you have 40 posts behind you.

Thanks Rex, but that is ironic considering that I am a Axe FX-III, AX8 and FC12 owner and I entered the FM8 wait list last summer. I see where I am not allowed to even view the September and October FM3 updates. isn't that a little extreme?

The entire FM3 subforum was suspended for a while prior to product release. To my knowledge, no one can view the old posts.

I artifically bumped your post count up so the URL limit feature doesn't impede posting It's an effective anti-spam feature, unfortunately.

Thank you very much for your help iaresee, or do you prefer "Ian"? Regardless, that was very thoughtful and very much appreciated.
