The Complete Fractal Audio Master Class Series with Cooper Carter

Hi,

I bought my FM3 arround one year ago and enroll the masterclass on the same day. It is my first fractal modeler and the masterclass brought me to the level that I understand the way this unit works, still now I benefit from it. For me it was the best way to join the fractal world. A well guided way to adapt knowledge.

Hi all,

trying to bump this up. there has been so many updates the last year or two to the units and right now considering on purchasing CC's classes. do you still think its a good idea given the fact that there were no updates to the classes?

Yes absolutely.

For anyone looking to take one of these classes - I've just completed the FM9 masterclass and it was worth every penny. Endless scrolling through YouTube videos didn't really provide a good enough path to learn this device and all the details needed to fully understand it. Cooper makes it very clear throughout and has helped me enormously in making the decision to stick with the FM9. Thanks Cooper for all the work you put in to create such an informative series :)

Hi, does the Master Class include videos with subtitles that can be translated into Czech? On the YouTube channel, CC subtitles can be turned on and with a Czech translation. Unfortunately, I'm an older person and I don't know English

I’m not sure maybe you can send @Cooper Carter a message or maybe he will chime in here.

Cannot buy it because the website is so slow, even on the free demo video it buffers all 10-15 seconds even on lowest settings. This occurs since over a week now. I do have a 300mbit connection and everything is running fine. even with different devices, so it's 100% the website.

I hope this course is still up-to-date with the latest FW (28-07) in 2025 - just decided to invest in this course, I am basically a bedroom/studio player not a live player but even though a more Mature (65) guy still very tech minded. Please tell me I have done the right thing :)

I don't think you can expect any curriculum to be in sync with the rate of FAS firmware releases. It is just not realistic because of their speed. You will however not be missing out on anything as the course does not focus on features of any specific firmware, but instead on how to do things in multiple ways. It is a great course and I went through it when I first got my Axe FXIII in Jan '22. You will learn a ton and can apply what you learn to any firmware ever released for the Axe FX III! I don't know if Cooper has added in a Dyna Cab section yet, but that did not exist when I first got mine, but I believe he updated the course in '23 or '24 after Dyna Cabs came out, but I never went back to look. Enjoy!!

You've done the right thing, it's still the most comprehensive FM9 guide 😎

You have, definitely!

I'm not sure when the course was last updated, but though the firmware changes pretty frequently, the difference won't affect the course content much. They're things like new drive pedals, small parameter changes etc, not things that are covered in the course.

Dyna Cabs have not yet been addressed in the course. Cooper has stated that he has an update in the works.

Last update was 11-2023 v3.0. Covered up to AXE-III fw 21.00 (New “Cygnus X-2” amp modeling).
Dyna Cabs were introduced in fw 22.00.
Regardless, it is an outstanding course as it is now! Can only get better once Cooper updates it when he's able to find some extra time considering the crazy time and demand for his amazing talents.

Cooper,

Thank you for the abundant knowledge you've provided regards getting to know one's FM9 and associated peripherals. TBH, it took me quite a while to apply and absorb as much of the material as possible, but the focus of this course is that it is available at any time for review in case some significant point were missed, or just being able to review the course as a reference in the future.

Your course was entirely engaging and encouraged the viewer to stick with the course through to completion. The value of this course is equally matched by the amount of material covered, and for the time and effort it took for you to put together this masterclass, we're thankful.
