I'm pretty miserable at this game with a measly 3/20 despite being familiar with all the songs.

How did you do?

IMO, the suggestion that you should recognize even your own heroes with just one note is overrated...

Damn that was tough. 6 of 20 for me. With just one note, there's so little context.

Gilmour, Knoppfler, Hendrix, EVH, SRV, and Eric Johnson were the ones I recognized. I knew the Joe Walsh one was Hotel California but I didn't specifically know it was him.

Don't feel bad - 2 of the 3 I got were guesses. I was only sure of 1 (Gilmour). Pretty tough indeed.

That is hard! I actually got 8 although I initially got 6 and added 2 more when he gave a second note before the reveal.

Got about half in one try. I spend a lot of time with my clients listening to isolated guitar tracks to nail tones built on FAS products. The hints for me were actually the reverb or time based settings of each single note.

But kicking myself I didn't identify Eric Johnson.

Cool exercise. took 5 in the first and of course when he played Jimmy Page second note (Starway to heaven) that was pretty easy.
Other ones dang hard. Cant believe I missed Lukather which I know and played all solos since the 80s (not professionally) but in various coverband situations

I've made a ton of EJ presets that people on here seemed to like, been tabbing and learning my favorite solos of his for the last couple of years, and I missed it as well....

Missed EJ as well, that clip was really well made. 1st clip of EJ sounded 100% like Hendrix which I got right before, but had to put another Hendrix to have at least one right.

Proud of how I got Lukather right. Never listened much of Toto really apart from workplace where our old and grumpy promoters only seem to like Toto and nothing else.
