so, I've been scouring the forum but cant find an answer to my problem. i have a momentary switch connected to the pedal 2 input on the back of my ultra and i cant figure out what to do to make it work as a tap tempo. i have it set to momentary, but after that im lost. is it a patch to patch based setup or is it a global thing somewhere? been googling it for a while but cant find a solution, can anyone help me?

At the I/O: CTRL page the TEMPO (might be called TEMPO TAP or TAP TEMPO, can't remember) item should be set to Pedal 2.

Any effect (or LFO/sequencer) you want to be tempo-based will need its "tempo" parameter set to some rhythmic value within the preset.
 
thanks for the help. i feel like i over complicated the situation now. i just saw the CC numbers and didn't think to adjust that setting.
 
It's all to do with the cable being RTS - TRS. I posted a diagram for a pedal somewhere here.

Ah mine was coming out of a GCP not directly out of the Ultra, Ignore me!
