System params reset if not waiting 5 secs

What's the purpose of that? I forget it sometimes and have to calibrate the exp pedals again and blabla. I just don't understand why the "function" is there in the first place.

Didn't really know this existed until now. Good to know though because this has happened to me before leaving for practice a couple times this month and couldn't figure out what was happening. I found the thread talking about it some but unfortunately the wiki link in it doesn't lead to anything. I'd be interested in more info on this too. I really just want to understand it so I can make sure I don't show up to a gig with factory defaults.

it probably takes a few seconds so it isn't saving literally every moment.

are people adjusting their settings and immediately turning it off?

Last time it happened was on Wednesday, I just changed the preset name and waited a few seconds before turning it off and it happened. This was before hearing about the waiting 5 seconds or up to 30 seconds before powering off after making changes.

Funny that the post you're referring to is a post by me earlier this year wondering why it was happening. After that I understood to wait and always wait 5 seconds before powering off, but it happens anyway sometimes, maybe it counts as "adjusting settings" to move your exp volume pedal by accident?
Still curious as to why this feature is there in the first place.
