Syncing Axe FX w/ Midi from Logic X

Using an external midi track in Logic to do some expression parameter automation on delay blocks in the Axe FX while reamping. My question is, does the Axe automatically sync to logic's tempo when reamping this way, or is there some settings I need to change on the Axe/Logic to make sure the tempos are sync'd? Since I'm doing delay work with the reamp I want to make sure the delays are locked into logic's tempo grid.
