Switching to a scene when pressing preset number

dieter

Inspired
I tried to access scenes 5-6 directly when I press a preset.
It shows for example preset 1 Scene 7.
on the editor and on the fm9 display
and the Scene 7 is correctly selected.
But the foot switches show only scenes 1-4.
To actually get to scene 7 I have to press the "more" button.
Is that a normal behaviour?
Couldn’t find anything in the manual that would have helped
Cheers

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking... But it sounds like you're talking about layouts?

The factory layouts are just examples and can be edited to do what you want.

My main layout has all 8 scenes, plus tap tempo.

Read the Fractal Audio Footswitch Functions Guide.

This is normal behavior. The foot switches don’t change views or layouts to show the scene you’re on. The main screen changes to show where you are.

Thanks for you reply Unix guy,
I’m talking about scenes and the direct access to them.
Although I can save scene 7 as the starting scene when I press the preset switch, the foot switches don’t reflect that. You need to step on "more" in scene mode, to see scene 7 on the foot switches
It’s not a biggie.
I think layouts would not allow me to do that, just for one preset
I’m probably over complicating things
I guess need to rearrange scenes
Cheers

You can customize the layout for any preset to show whichever scene switches (or any other combination of switches) you wish to see when the preset loads. See page 16 of the Footswitch Functions Guide: https://www.fractalaudio.com/downlo.../Fractal-Audio-Footswitch-Functions-Guide.pdf

Yeah, layouts don't follow scene changes...

Checked that and thought that would work
But as soon as you ad a layout link to a footswitch it applies for every preset that is on that footswitch.
I’m just going to simplify my presets😬
Thanks for the help everyone
