Structure of blocks

Hey guys I was just curious, Im getting into a two amp set up on an axe fx II xl and im wondering a couple things:

1.) Ive played around with running to two of the lines at the output. It seems to kind of double the sound so to speak. Is there a reason for this or am i just hearing things?

2.) What is the difference between running from 1 lines input or mutiple to 1 lines output or mutiple? I assume perhaps stereo or wet dry output would be one reason. What would be the practical or tonal reason to do 1 or the other?

Thanks in advance!

If the levels are exactly the same, using two outs vs one should sound the same. A benefit of using 2 outs would be the option to run 2 mono lines into a mixer and having control over individual channel EQ, Level, effects etc....

It can be really fun to run two different sounding amps panned hard left and right into a cab that’s set to stereo input, with
a stereo delay and reverb at the end.
