Bought a set of these on Wednesday and they just arrived today.
I'm soon to be 60 and even with reading glasses on, I struggle to read the markings on my string gauges/rulers. Add to that, the reflection of the LED lighting off the shiny metal surfaces and it becomes nearly impossible. It can be very frustrating trying to setup my guitars.
Not anymore...these gauges work great. Not sure I agree with the 1/8" Strat. bass side pickup height, he demos in the video, but it is one of the Fender specs. for Texas Specials. No worries though, you can use one of the other gauges instead because they are all made of brass, so they're non-magnetic.
Of course pickup height and action are personal preference, but these gauges easily get you in the ballpark.
