Agreed!

I wish there was a way to choose between resetting an individual value to a "default block setting" vs a "default model setting".

It get's difficult to know what things are going to change / should be changed etc.
 
A hard reset by definition returns everything back to defaults. That's why it's "hard". Your request makes more sense as an option for the soft reset not the hard reset.

I said “Semi”! You can’t apply soft reset using Manage Presets.
 
That should be part of your wish. Don't get me wrong. I like the idea behind the wish, but a hard reset should always reset everything. We just need more soft reset options besides changing models. A proper double click to reset a parameter back to the current model's default would be great too (and a front panel equivalent).
 
What about a way in the editor, to copy the settings from a particular page, then paste them back, after the reset...?
