Still trying to nail Johnny Marr's "How Soon is Now" tone - frustrated

I tried Burg's preset and it's great, but I don't think it's quite there. Marr's original has a washiness to it that I am struggling to duplicate. I am trying it with a Tele, 335, and Strat and can't get the depth and complexity of the original. I know he was a genius in the studio and there is a lot of mystery to how he got his original tone.

Any tips/presets would be GREATLY appreciated.

Didn't he use several Deluxe Reverbs at the same time when recording "Hkw Soon Is Now?" You might need a few AX3s running dual amps with different trem speeds set to each. I'm not a huge fan of The Smiths but HSIN is my #1 80s New Wave Song or whatever you want to call 80s music that wasn't NWOHM, Hair Metal, or Rap.
