Still problems with Boss FS-5U and GCpro tap tempo

I thought I had this sorted thanks to Java but something weird is happening

If I use the Boss pedal through the GCPro to tap tempo it changes the tempo when I tap, but then reverts to the original tempo when I stop tapping. Tempo is set to system not preset.

If I use one of the buttons on the GCpro it works properly, I've tried the polarity switch on the boss and that hasn't solved it.

What am I missing?

any update on this? I guess some inputs can only take expression pedals and not tap/cc commands???

I haven't tried a tap into the GCpro yet, but plan on giving it a shot.

The expression port on the GCPro is designed, as you say, for an expression pedal and requires a stereo, TRS connection. It's possible to make a tap tempo switch work but it needs a double throw switch wired for TRS. I'm not sure if the Boss pedal is wired for TRS or just TS. Try a stereo cable and see if it works. If not, then the Boss pedal is probably wired TS. I had the same problem with the switch on the Mission Pedals. Wiring the DT switch TRS fixed it. If you are handy with basic electronics, PM me and I'll send you the schematic. James.
